bio-foam and hemp single fin

ready to draw the clean line! this one's carved from a biofoam blank. the deck has a full hemp inlay and the bottom also got an inlay tinted green. the biofoam has a kinda champagne color and contrasts nicely with the hemp. 6'10 15 1/8 x 21 3/8 x 14 3/4 x 2 3/4

do you like how the biofoam turns out after glassing, it's strange foam, it feals soft but kinda bounces back? what thicknness cloth did you use and how many layers?

i have not surfed one yet. that board has cured a long time, and i can feel the "give" in it when squeezing. i'm not sure of the hemp weight, i'd guess equivalent to 5oz. the bottom is glassed w/ the hemp patch and 4oz, the deck the same but the hemp is full deck. i did not attempt to wrap the rails w/ the hemp after reading about it, but i was surprised at how well the resin worked in. i did a test panel w/ the hemp vs a 6 oz glass and it seemed much stiffer and impact resistant. i look forward to feedback on it.

i really like the way my biofoam fish surfs, it feels great and for the volume of the board,it's really light,i had mine glassed poly 5,4 on the deck and 6 on the botttom, i think next time maybe a little more glass will compensate for the give, which on my board is more in the tail where it's thinner, or epoxy would be a good call considering it's stiffness! the board has noticable flex when surfed
